Over six hundred and fifty medical officers are reported as present for duty at that battle. These officers engaged assiduously, day and night, with little rest, until the 6th, and in the Second Corps, until the 7th of July, in attendance upon the wounded.
The labor performed by these men was immense. Some of them fainted from exhaustion induced by overexertion, and others became ill from the same cause . . . Thirteen of them were wounded; one of whom, Surg. W.S. Moore, 61st Ohio, Eleventh Corps, died on the 6th of July, from the effects of his wounds.

Is there a higher resolution version of the above image anywhere online? I would love to analyze it!
Sorry, Chris--it was the best resolution I could find. My techno skills are terrible.
